"Overview: We’re building an MVP that automates evidence collection, composes indexed PDF dispute bundles, and submits or prepares responses to Stripe and PayPal disputes. The initial market is US & Canada merchants using Shopify, Stripe, and PayPal. You’ll join as the full-stack engineer to finish connectors, tighten the backend, build a polished React UI for the composer and deadline brain, harden security, add CI/deploy scripts, and deliver a deployable staging environment and runbook.

Scope & impact: This is a product-led B2B SaaS MVP: auto-ingest disputes, fetch order/payment/shipping/customer artifacts, normalize evidence, generate watermarked/redacted indexed PDFs via headless Chromium, submit via Stripe/PayPal APIs (or produce ready-upload zips), and add timers/alerts and basic analytics. Success metrics include <30 minutes to first complete submission after connection, ≥90% auto-fetch rate for common reason codes, and zero missed deadlines for in-app cases.

Core responsibilities: finish and harden Shopify, Stripe, and PayPal connectors (OAuth + sync), implement carrier tracking connectors (UPS/FedEx/USPS/Canada Post) or clear stubbed fallbacks for staging, implement evidence normalization and checklist handling, build the evidence composer (reorderable exhibits, redaction toggle, PDF generation with exhibit watermarks, cover letter templates), implement submission flows and polling for outcomes, add deadline brain (UTC storage, local display, email alerts at 72/24/2 hours), instrument analytics events, implement RBAC (Owner/Manager/Agent), encrypted secrets and token handling, audit logs, S3 storage for raw exhibits, PostgreSQL schema, job queueing (Redis + BullMQ or equivalent), and deliver infra-as-code or clear deploy steps for staging.

Tech stack we prefer: Node.js + TypeScript (NestJS or Express) for backend or Python (FastAPI) if you prefer; PostgreSQL; Redis + BullMQ for background jobs; S3-compatible storage for files; Puppeteer / headless Chromium for PDF generation; React for frontend; JWT-based API and OAuth flows; CI/CD and basic IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation or documented scripts). Must follow secure handling of PII (no full PAN storage, redaction policy), encrypted secrets, and basic MFA/session controls.

Deliverables: working web app covering MVP flows in PRD, source code in a private repo with README and env instructions, Postman collection or API docs, staging deployment steps or IaC, test accounts/scripts to simulate a dispute flow end-to-end, one-page support runbook listing common errors and retry steps, and handover notes. Include unit/integration tests for critical flows (connectors, PDF composer, submission).

Experience & must-haves: 4+ years building production web apps, hands-on experience integrating with Stripe and PayPal APIs, experience with OAuth connectors (Shopify a plus), proven background with job queues and background workers, experience generating PDFs reliably with Puppeteer or equivalent, strong security mindset (token storage, encryption, PII redaction), deployment experience (cloud, S3, RDS). Prefer prior work on payments, disputes, shipping integrations, or compliance-heavy B2B tools.
