Project description:
"I want a clean, uncluttered calorie-tracking app that runs natively on both iOS and Android. The core experience is a single, minimalist screen where users manually enter each food item and its calories; the app instantly adds that value to the day’s total displayed front and center. All interactions must feel lightning-fast and intuitive, with a modern flat design, muted palette, and plenty of white space.
Beyond daily logging, I need simple progress tracking: a rolling history that lets users swipe through past days and view a weekly or monthly intake chart. Nothing overly complex—just enough visual feedback to see habits forming over time.
Data can be stored locally (SQLite, Core Data, or an equivalent lightweight solution) as long as it survives app restarts; structuring the project so cloud sync can be added later would be a bonus. I’m flexible on the tech stack (Flutter, React Native, Swift/Kotlin, or another efficient approach) as long as performance and UI smoothness meet native standards.
Deliverables
• Full source code with clear build instructions
• Testflight / APK builds ready for internal testing
• An outline of the data model and architecture so future features (like barcode scanning) can be slotted in easily
• Basic style guide explaining fonts, colors, and spacing to preserve the minimalist look in future iterations
Once the first build is in my hands, I’ll provide feedback on UI polish and accuracy of the calorie tally; final payment will follow the submission of a store-ready package free of critical bugs." (client-provided description)
