"I have an archive of static pages from an older WordPress blog and need the site rebuilt on a fresh install while preserving its original user-focused behaviour. The one feature that mattered most to regular visitors was the ability to browse posts by the first letter of the title, so the new build must centre on a clean, responsive A-Z search bar laid out horizontally across the top of the content area.

The saved pages give a clear picture of styling, typography, and page flow; they can be used as visual and structural references, but I’m flexible on modernising the theme so long as the overall spirit remains. What must stay intact is the interaction pattern: visitors should be able to click any letter and immediately see all matching posts or pages without a full page reload if possible. Native WordPress search is fine to leverage behind the scenes—WP_Query, custom taxonomies, or a lightweight plugin—provided the front-end experience is seamless and fast.

• Recreate the site on the latest stable WordPress version, migrating existing posts and media from the backup.
• Build or configure the horizontal A-Z bar; each letter visible at all breakpoints, with graceful handling of letters that have no matches.
