"I need an MVP that lets NHS patients reschedule their appointments through three channels—phone (IVR), WhatsApp chat, and email—while handling the entire flow with automated responses. The core aim is to prove that a single, Microsoft-based bot can listen, understand a rescheduling request, cross-check availability in an existing scheduling API or stub, propose new slots, confirm the patient’s choice, and immediately update the calendar.
Scope of work
• Build one conversational flow that is shared across the three channels, using Bot Framework SDK, Power Virtual Agents, or another Microsoft stack component you are comfortable with.
• Phone: configure an IVR that greets the caller, captures patient details (NHS number / DOB), and walks them through slot selection via voice or keypad.
• WhatsApp: enable the same logic in a chat format, supporting rich replies (quick-reply buttons or numbered options).
• Email: monitor a mailbox, parse natural-language reschedule requests, and trigger an automatic reply that offers alternative dates plus a confirmation link.
• All channels must respond automatically, without manual intervention, and log every interaction to a simple dashboard or downloadable CSV.
• Provide deployment steps so I can spin the bot up in my own Azure subscription and swap the current stubbed schedule API for the live one later.
Acceptance criteria
1. A patient can successfully reschedule an appointment end-to-end on each of the three channels.
2. All automated messages show correct slot data pulled from the mock scheduling API you supply.
3. Conversation transcripts and status updates are saved and exportable.
4. The entire solution can be redeployed from source with the instructions you provide.
