"Project: Build a Multivendor Marketplace for Gymnastics Gear

I’m building a niche marketplace called The Hall Closet where gymnasts can buy, sell, auction, or trade pre-loved leotards and equipment. The site needs full multivendor capability so users may register as buyers, sellers, or both from a single account and fluidly switch roles.

Core Workflow
Seller Tools: Sellers must be able to upload photos, write descriptions, choose fixed-price, auction, or trade-only formats, set reserve prices, and monitor every listing from their dashboard. Timed auctions should run with live countdowns and automatic bid increments.
Buyer Tools: Buyers need an intuitive experience that lets them place bids, hit a “buy now” button for immediate purchases, or open a trade proposal with integrated messaging.
Shipping: Sellers should have access to an easy-to-use shipping solution (integrated labels or plugin) to calculate rates, print labels, and manage deliveries directly from their dashboard.
Gymnast Seller Profiles: Sellers should be able to create profiles for their gymnasts to showcase the athlete selling the gear (Name, Gym, Level, Top Scores, Dream Colleges, etc.) with a “Contact Me” button. At launch, this will be free to all sellers for 90 days, but the system should allow this feature to become a paid upgrade later.

Administrative Needs
Clean back-office where I can:
Approve vendors
Configure commission rates
Manage disputes
Pull reports on sales, bids, trades, and shipments
Payments: Stripe and PayPal integrations. Escrow-style flow preferred (funds released only when both parties confirm delivery).
Marketing: Mailchimp (or similar) integration for newsletters, campaigns, and automated communications.
Ratings/reviews for both vendors and buyers.
Basic on-page SEO controls.

Mobile-first, responsive design.
Preferred Stack
Open-source solutions such as WordPress + WooCommerce (with Dokan or WCFM), Sharetribe, or a custom Laravel/React build.
Must support seamless auction, trade, and seller profile modules.
Code should be scalable for future features.
