"I’m building a small, browser-only utility that lets users bring in an image and leave with a lighter, neatly sized version—no server call, no privacy worries. The page must accept JPEG, PNG and GIF files delivered three ways: classic file-select button, drag-and-drop onto a drop zone, or an instant paste from the clipboard.

Once the file is loaded, the user should be able to choose between three operations—compress, resize or crop—then preview the result before downloading the edited image straight to disk. Everything happens right in the client using JavaScript (Canvas, Web Workers or even a touch of WebAssembly are fine if they help performance). Keep the interface responsive and lightweight; I want the compiled bundle to stay quick to load even on a slow connection.

• Source code with clear comments and any build script you use
• A single deploy-ready HTML/JS/CSS page that works offline when cached
• README explaining setup, libraries and usage

Acceptance criteria
• Opens JPEG, PNG and GIF up to 10 MB each
• Compress, resize and crop all work without server interaction
• Drag-and-drop, file picker and clipboard paste function in current Chrome, Firefox and Edge
