"We are seeking an experienced PHP developer, preferably with expertise in Laravel and Bagisto or Symfony and Sylius, to build a multi-store e-commerce platform that will operate across four countries: United States ([login to view URL]), Canada ([login to view URL]), United Kingdom ([login to view URL]), and Australia ([login to view URL]). The concept is similar to Amazon’s regional sites, where each country has its own localized website but everything is managed under a single codebase.

Each country site should have its own domain, pricing, local currency, payment gateway, compliance policies, and tax rules. The platform must handle product availability per country, meaning certain products will only be displayed in specific regions. Multi-currency support will include USD, CAD, GBP, and AUD. Tax engines will differ by region, such as Avalara/TaxJar in the US, GST/HST/PST in Canada, VAT in the UK, and GST in Australia.

Payments must be integrated with local gateways tied to each country’s bank account, and shipping should be connected with local carriers including UPS, USPS, FedEx, Canada Post, Royal Mail, and Australia Post, all managed through ShipStation for label generation and tracking. Customers should have access to a self-service portal that includes order tracking, return requests (RMA), saved payment methods, and the ability to checkout as a guest without creating an account. Order notifications must be sent from store-specific local domain emails.

The website should also feature geo IP auto-redirect with a manual country selector, be optimized for SEO with hreflang and canonical URLs, and integrate with Google Ads, Meta Ads, and GA4 through a single account setup using server-side GTM. We already have registered legal entities, bank accounts, and tax IDs in all four countries.

The ideal freelancer will have prior experience building multi-store or international e-commerce platforms, strong knowledge of PHP frameworks, e-commerce development, payment gateway and shipping API integration, and a good understanding of SEO and regional compliance.
