"Admissions Prep App (iOS & Android)

Budget: $3,000— fixed
Important: The app has no on-device AI. All lessons, questions, and explanations are generated externally with AI and saved in the database. The app only reads and uses that content.
Content style: I will generate the AI question bank in the exact style/format you prefer or recommend (fields, tags, difficulty, slot mapping, etc.).

What You Build
1) Design & UX

Duolingo-style: clean, beautiful, fast, fluid.

Lightweight app (no big images/videos). Excellent performance on iOS & Android.

2) Lesson Flow

After each lesson, show a quiz using only questions from that lesson (from DB).

3) Test Modes

A) Personalized Test (based on user mistakes)

See logic below.

B) Structured Simulation (Exam-Style)

Uses a blueprint (total questions + distribution by subject/topic/tag, and optional fixed slots like Q1).

We will finalize the exact blueprint together during planning (counts, proportions, fixed-slot rules).

Questions are randomized from DB while respecting the agreed blueprint (no duplicates).

If a question_number/slot exists in DB, use it.

4) Personalized Testing Logic (Final)

Do not generate new questions at test time.

Build the test by selecting from the existing question bank.

For every question the user got wrong:

Include that exact missed question in the next personalized test.

Add additional questions from the same lesson/topic and/or matching tags (e.g., the same tag “History of Communism”), randomized, no duplicates.

Configurable test size and smart rotation (avoid repeating the same extras too often).

Use the same signals to recommend lessons (prioritize lessons/tags with recent wrong answers).

5) Community & Insights

Comments per question (persist).

Show the stored explanation in the thread (from DB).

Section for most-commented questions.

Leaderboard and User dashboard (accuracy by topic/tag, progress, next steps).

6) Auth & Referrals

Social login (Apple, Google, Facebook).

Referral reward: e.g., 1 month free when a user invites 2 friends who buy a subscription (track invites, status, reward unlocking).

7) Coaches Directory (Simple)

List coaches/trainers with city, phone number, and social links.

8) Performance & Release

Smooth, optimized UX on iOS & Android (fast startup, fluid scrolling).

Backend on a mainstream cloud (e.g., AWS or similar).

Publish to App Store and Google Play under my accounts.

9) Multi-Brand Option

Ability to ship a second app from the same codebase with minor layout/branding changes (same functionality).

Deliverables
