Project description:
"We are developing an interactive reward-based learning system for a school environment. Our goal is to connect a vending machine to a web application that delivers quizzes to students, tracks performance, and allows students to redeem rewards from the vending machine based on their quiz results.

We are looking for a freelancer who can:
• Integrate a vending machine (likely via serial, USB, or network communication depending on the machine’s capabilities) with a custom-built or existing web platform.
• Build or connect a student quiz management system that:
• Organizes quizzes by student class level (Grade 1, Grade 2, etc.)
• Categorizes questions by difficulty (Easy, Medium, Hard)
• Tracks student answers and scores
• Enable real-time vending actions once a student completes a quiz (e.g., unlocking product selection or triggering item dispense)
• Secure user data and ensure proper student authentication.

Key Features Required:
• Web portal (responsive) for:
• Admin to upload/manage quiz questions
• Students to log in, take quizzes, and track their points/rewards
• Integration layer/API between web app and vending machine hardware
• QR code or student ID login system (optional but preferred)
• Point or token-based reward system (based on quiz difficulty/success)
• Real-time or near real-time communication between web app and vending machine

Preferred Skills:
• Experience with IoT device integration (especially vending machines)
• Full-stack web development (e.g., Node.js, Python, PHP, React, etc.)
• Knowledge of hardware communication protocols (e.g., serial communication, MDB, API-based control)
• Strong background in database design (MySQL, Firebase, etc.)
• Experience in school or education systems is a plus

Deliverables:
• Functional web application with backend and admin dashboard
• Working prototype integration with a vending machine (physical or simulated)
• Full documentation (API, setup, user manual)
• Ongoing support (optional, to be discussed)

Example Scenario:
1. A student logs into the web app.
2. They select their grade and take a quiz.
3. Based on their score, the app awards them a certain number of points or tokens.
4. The student uses these points to select an item from the vending machine.
5. The machine dispenses the item automatically after confirmation.
