"My WordPress site is throwing a “Failed fetch” error for its XML sitemap inside Google Search Console and, at the same time, it is not meeting Google’s Core Web Vitals thresholds. I need both issues cleared so the site can be crawled and ranked without technical warnings.

Here’s what has to happen:
• The existing XML sitemap must be diagnosed, rebuilt or repaired, then resubmitted until Search Console shows a clean status—no more “Failed fetch”.
• Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP/FID) need to move into the green on both mobile and desktop, confirmed by Search Console or a Lighthouse report. That means correcting anything from sluggish server response and un-optimised images to render-blocking scripts or layout shifts, using WordPress-friendly performance practices (caching, image compression, critical CSS, etc.).

Acceptance criteria
1. “Success” status for the sitemap in Search Console.
2. Core Web Vitals labeled “Good” across all three metrics on the same platform.
3. A brief summary of what was changed so I can maintain the improvements going forward." (client-provided description)
