"Project Summary
USG7007 is a universal AC communication translator designed to connect and enable communication between mismatched indoor and outdoor PCBs of inverter air conditioners. The device will be built on ESP32-S3 or STM32 with support for Wi-Fi, BLE, and optional machine learning.
Hardware will include a micro AC-DC SMPS for 230V AC operation and an additional 5V DC input, a 16x2 LCD display, four push buttons, buzzer, dual UART and PWM channels with optocoupler isolation, USB-C with CH340 or CP2102 for debugging, EEPROM/Flash memory, and RTC for warranty tracking. The PCB will be approximately 10 cm by 6 cm with clear labeling and brand marking.
Software (Firmware) will capture Indoor PCB signals, translate them into a generic command model, and re-encode them for the Outdoor PCB. It will support auto-detection of brand protocols, mapping tables for Indoor to Outdoor, and ML-based auto-learn for unsupported protocols. Reliability features will include watchdog timers, brownout and high-voltage detection, anti short-cycle compressor protection, and storage of the last 10 faults. Connectivity will include OTA firmware and profile updates through BLE/Wi-Fi and USB debugging.
Application (Mobile App) will provide ON/OFF, mode, temperature, and fan control, live communication monitoring, diagnostics with logs exportable as CSV or PDF, manual or auto profile selection, OTA updates, and warranty tracking with expiry alerts. The app will also include lock control to block manual ON if the device is turned OFF from the app.
Security Features will include one-time PIN activation, brand lock system to prevent mismatched use, firmware protection with signed updates only, app login security with password or OTP, signal protection against incorrect wiring, and hidden service mode for engineers to access firmware version, serial number, and self-test.
Service and Warranty will be managed by RTC-based tracking from first activation, with automatic expiry messages after one year and fault history stored for service engineers." (client-provided description)
