"My WordPress site has started to misbehave after months without maintenance, so I want a full round of updates carried out in one go. The priority is to bring the theme up to its latest stable release and clear every bug that has crept in—layout quirks, broken or unreliable functionality, and any compatibility errors that show up once the core, theme, plugins, and PHP are modernised.

You will be working on an existing production site, so the flow I have in mind is:

• spin up a staging clone or work on one I provide
• back up both files and database before touching anything
• update WordPress core (if needed), the custom or marketplace theme, and all active plugins
• raise the server’s PHP version only after ensuring the codebase is ready
• fix every visible layout issue and restore full functionality, testing across the latest Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge
• keep an eye on compatibility warnings in the debug log and eliminate them

Once everything looks solid on staging and loads without errors, we push to live.

Deliverables
– Updated, fully functional theme and plugins on the live site
– Clean front-end layout on desktop, tablet, and mobile
– No PHP, JS, or browser console errors
– Brief changelog noting versions updated and fixes applied
– A zipped backup of the final working site

You’ll need solid experience with WordPress, PHP, MySQL, Git or another version-control workflow, and access-friendly tools such as cPanel or ssh/FTP. If something in the process exposes a bigger issue, flag it early so we can decide whether to extend the scope or split it into a follow-up project.
