Project description:
"I need a single application—accessible in any modern browser as well as on iOS and Android—that traces every step of our garment manufacturing cycle, from the moment fabric is purchased right through to the finished pieces entering the warehouse and showing up in a profit report.
Our Objective
To build a factory process management application that tracks fabric purchase, cutting, production, process flow, stock, warehouse transfer, and profitability of each Lot.
________________________________________
1. Purchase & Lot Creation
• Admin enters purchase bill details:
o Item Name
o Total Bales
o Total Meters
o Total Bill Value
• System automatically generates a unique Lot Number for each purchase.
• Lot Number is assigned to the Cutting Master with the Item Name and Total Meter.
________________________________________
2. Cutting Process
• Cutting Master records daily cutting reports:
o Item-wise
o Size-wise
• After cutting, fabric is allocated to Karigars (Bodymen) for further processing.
________________________________________
3. Karigar / Worker Production
• Each Karigar can view their allocated items.
• Karigar enters daily production output against their assigned work.
________________________________________
4. Process Management
• Admin can define, add, or remove different processes in production (e.g., Stitching → Ironing → Packing).
• Processes can be arranged in a sequence/chain so one process follows another.
• After completion of the last process (Ironing), finished products move to Factory Stock.
________________________________________
5. Stock & Warehouse Transfer
• Finished stock first enters Factory Stock.
• Warehouse transfer involves 2 roles:
1. Feeder – Feeds stock data into the system from factory.
Can only view stock inside factory.
2. Checker – Cross-verifies and confirms data entered by feeder.
Can only view and approve stock fed by feeder.
• After checker’s approval, stock is moved into the Warehouse Inventory.
________________________________________
6. Lot Closure & Profitability
• Once a Lot is fully completed:
o Admin cross-checks all records.
o Admin inputs selling rate and expenses.
o System calculates profit margin per Lot.
________________________________________
7. User Roles & Permissions
• Admin
o Full access: Purchase, Lot creation, process definition, approvals, profitability.
• Cutting Master
o Enter cutting reports, allocate fabric to Karigars.
• Karigar (Worker)
o View assigned work, enter daily production.
• Feeder
o Enter stock from factory to warehouse system.
• Checker
o Verify feeder entries and approve stock movement.
________________________________________
8. Key Features Summary
• Unique Lot tracking from Purchase → Cutting → Production → Stock → Warehouse → Sales.
• Role-based dashboards for Admin, Cutting Master, Karigar, Feeder, and Checker.
• Flexible process chain management (Admin-controlled).
• End-to-end transparency of fabric meters, production, and finished stock.
• Profit margin calculation after Lot completion." (client-provided description)
