Project description:
": No-Code Developer (Bubble) — Phase One Lite Boat Comparison App (with PWA Setup)
Objective
We are a yacht brokerage seeking a Bubble developer to build a Phase One Lite version of a customer-facing app. The app will allow visitors to browse boat models, compare up to five boats side-by-side, and export comparisons as PDFs. It will serve as a lead generation tool on our website and should also be configured as a Progressive Web App (PWA) so that visitors can install it directly on their phones and tablets.
Deliverables (Phase One Lite Scope)
Database Setup (Bubble) Most of below items I will send to you.
Build a data structure for:
Brands (8 total)
Models (≈150)
Specs (LOA, beam, draft, displacement, fuel, water, cabins, berths, engine, CE category, etc.)
Documents (linked brochures/spec sheets with year, region, and page reference)
Ensure specs are stored in normalized SI units with source citations.
UI/UX
Brand → Models navigation (grid view).
Model detail page: display full specs with citations (doc + page).
Compare page: select up to 5 models and show side-by-side table of specs.
Highlight “winners” per metric (min/max).
Handle missing values gracefully.
Unit toggle: Metric ↔ US units (feet, gallons, lbs).
Export & Lead Capture
Export current comparison to PDF (using Documint or SelectPDF plugin).
Require email entry before download (simple lead capture form).
Store/export captured leads in a CRM-friendly format (CSV or webhook).
Progressive Web App (PWA) Setup
Configure the Bubble app as a PWA.
Add app icon, splash screen, and offline caching.
Ensure visitors can “Add to Home Screen” on iOS/Android.
Test install on both platforms for a smooth app-like experience.
QA & Testing
Spot check comparisons for 10–20 models to confirm data renders correctly.
Verify unit conversions and citation display.
Confirm PDF export and lead capture workflow.
Test PWA installation and behavior on iPhone and Android.
What’s Not in Phase One Lite (Future Scope)
AI “Ask-the-docs” feature (integration with Hosted RAG / OpenAI).
Native App Store / Google Play submission (possible later if required).
CRM integrations beyond basic email capture.
These will be added later in Phase Two, but the app must be structured so they can be integrated without rework.
Requirements
Proven experience with Bubble (database setup, responsive design, plugins).
Experience building comparison tables or structured data apps.
Ability to implement PDF export workflows.
Experience configuring Progressive Web Apps (PWA) in Bubble.
Nice-to-Have
Knowledge of or interest in the marine/yachting industry.
Budget & Timeline
Estimated workload: 35–45 hours.
Budget: $2,000–$3,500 USD depending on experience.
Timeline: 2–3 weeks from kickoff to functional demo.
How to Apply
Please include:
Examples of Bubble apps you’ve built (especially with comparison or marketplace features).
Confirmation you have experience with PWA setup in Bubble.
A short description of how you would structure the Brands/Models/Specs/Docs schema.
