"Project Title: Blood Test Application Integration with Medical Devices (C#)

Project Overview:
We are seeking an experienced C# developer to integrate our existing blood test application with several laboratory medical devices. The primary goal is to establish robust, bidirectional communication to retrieve test results from these devices using barcode scanning for sample identification.

Specific Devices for Integration:
- SYSMEX XNL Series (e.g., XN-350, XN-450, XN-550)
- COBAS PRO Integrated Solutions
- COBAS 6000 Analyzer Series
- any other device.

Key Requirements & Responsibilities:
- Develop C# code to establish TCP/IP communication with each specified medical device.
- Implement ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) protocol for SYSMEX XNL integration.
- Implement HL7 (Health Level Seven International) protocol for COBAS PRO and COBAS 6000 integration, including MLLP framing.
- Handle barcode input for sample identification and use it to query devices/LIS for patient/order information.
- Parse incoming test results from devices and integrate them into our application's data model.
- Implement robust error handling, logging, and data validation mechanisms.
- Ensure data security and compliance with healthcare data privacy standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR principles).
- Provide clear, well-documented, and maintainable C# source code.

Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong proficiency in C# and the .NET framework.
- Proven experience with TCP/IP socket programming.
- In-depth knowledge and practical experience with ASTM and HL7 communication protocols (especially HL7 v2.x).
- Experience with medical device integration in a laboratory or healthcare setting is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with barcode scanner integration (keyboard wedge or serial port).
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong communication skills.

Deliverables:
- Fully functional C# integration module(s) for each device.
- Comprehensive source code with inline comments.
- Technical documentation outlining the integration architecture and setup instructions.
- Unit tests and integration test plan.
