"I need a lightweight, browser-based tool that lets homeowners see exactly how different windows and doors will look on their own home before they contact us.

Core flow
• Step 1 – Upload a photo. The user drags a JPEG or PNG of their façade or living room straight into the page.
• Step 2 – Choose a product. A library panel lists our ranges—sliding windows, awnings, bifolds, fixed panes, shrouds, doors and more.
• Step 3 – Drag, drop and adjust. Items snap to the image, can be resized proportionally, and frame colour can be changed on the fly.
• Step 4 – “Get Instant Quote”. A single click passes the design data to our existing instant-quote API and opens the results in a new panel.

Technical notes
• Platform: desktop web only; no mobile or tablet build for now.
• Optimised first for Google Chrome (latest two versions). Firefox and Safari compatibility is nice to have but not mandatory.
• English only; no need for localisation code.
• A smooth, client-side experience is essential, so please favour modern JavaScript (React, Vue or similar), WebGL/Canvas or CSS transforms for rendering, and keep load times minimal.
• I will supply the product image assets, colour swatches and API documentation for the quote system.

Deliverables
1. Source code repository with clear build/run instructions
2. Deployed demo on a staging URL I can test in Chrome
3. Integration hook that posts the selected items, sizes and colours to our quote API and handles the JSON response
4. One round of bug-fixes after initial review

Acceptance criteria
• A homeowner with no training can complete the four-step flow in under three minutes on a standard laptop.
• Rendered products remain crisp when resized or zoomed.
• Quote request returns correct pricing based on the data passed.

Low barrier – No account sign-up required to play around, but prompt them to submit details to save their design.
