Project description:
"I’m running several plant-wide automation upgrades and need an engineer who can move smoothly between Siemens, Allen Bradley and ABB environments. Day-to-day work will centre on three areas: writing and testing PLC logic, building intuitive SCADA graphics, and tightening up DCS configurations so everything talks the same language on site.
Most PLC work will be inside Siemens TIA Portal (Step 7, WinCC, S7-1200/1500 families), so deep, hands-on experience there is essential. You will also touch Allen Bradley ControlLogix projects and adjust ABB 800xA function blocks, so the ability to switch mindsets—and software suites—without losing pace is important.
Typical workflow
• Draft or refine PLC code, simulate in TIA Portal, then download and commission on the live rack.
• Design or modify WinCC HMI/SCADA screens, connect all tags, and deploy.
• Map signals to the ABB DCS layer, verify alarms, historization and interlocks.
• Hand back clean, commented source files and a short commissioning note for each task.
Acceptance is simple: each module must compile error-free, pass an online test with me over a remote session, and arrive with brief inline documentation so the maintenance team can follow your logic.
If you’re comfortable juggling Siemens, Allen Bradley and ABB toolsets and can slot into an ongoing project with minimal ramp-up, let’s talk and get the first package of work moving." (client-provided description)
