"I want to commission an interactive map that lets anyone—from EirGrid planners and CRU regulators to local authorities and researchers—explore demand flexibility, pinpoint energy-grid congestion hotspots, and see how renewable resources slot into the picture across every county in the Republic of Ireland.

At its core the tool should let users zoom from a national overview right down to local distribution zones, toggle layers for wind, solar, and hydropower capacity, and overlay congestion intensity in real time or for selected historical periods. Colour-coded heat-maps, hover tooltips, and straightforward filters for date, region, and network voltage level will make the insight immediate and actionable.

I am happy for you to build in Python + GeoPandas, Leaflet /firebase or another modern GIS/web-mapping stack—whichever you are fastest and most comfortable with—but the final product must run smoothly in any standards-compliant browser and be easy for my in-house team to update with fresh EirGrid, CSO, or SEAI data.

Deliverables
• Web-based interactive map (hosted or Docker-ready)
• Clean, well-commented source code and reproducible data-processing scripts
• Read-me style documentation covering setup, data refresh workflow, and layer definitions

I will review against accuracy of geospatial overlays, responsiveness of the UI, and clarity of documentation, then release payment on approval.
