"The goal is to build a web-based platform that lets anyone upload and watch user-generated videos, much like YouTube but trimmed down to the essentials required for an MVP.

Core focus
• Video content only—no live streams or podcasts for this phase.
• Users must be able to create and manage their own subscription channels so viewers can follow their favorite creators.

Functionality
A visitor should be able to register, upload videos in common formats, have them automatically transcoded (FFmpeg/HLS) for adaptive playback, and browse or search content quickly. Each channel needs its own page with a clean subscribe button and a feed that updates as new videos are added. A simple but solid recommendation or “related videos” section will round out the first release.

Technology preferences
Modern, scalable stacks such as React or Vue on the front end and Node.js, Django, or Laravel on the back end are fine as long as the code is clean and documented. Cloud storage (e.g., AWS S3) and a CDN should handle media delivery. Feel free to suggest the most cost-effective combination.

Deliverables
1. Fully functional MVP deployed to a test server
2. Source code in a public or private Git repository
3. Brief deployment/documentation guide for hand-off
