1. Goal
Develop a web platform where clients (farm owners) can view and monitor their eucalyptus plantations. The main purpose is to measure forest productivity using satellite images, combining biological, environmental, and management data.
2. Users
Administrator (your team): registers clients, farms, and plots; inputs field data.
Client: logs in to see maps, metrics, forecasts, and reports.
3. Core Features
A) Client & Farm Registration
Create client profiles.
Add farms and draw/upload plot boundaries on the map.
For each plot, input details such as:
Planting date
Species/clone planted
Fertilization applied
Planting spacing
This information is stored and linked to the monitoring system.
B) Interactive Map
Clients can see their farms and plots displayed on a map.
Each plot shows colors or indicators for health, productivity, and failures.
Timeline slider to compare past satellite images.
Option to click on a plot and see detailed metrics.
C) Satellite Image Monitoring
System ingests satellite images of the area.
Detects failures (dead or missing trees) and shows percentage of failures in each plot.
Measures vegetation indices that represent tree health and growth.
Provides historical and updated views of forest development.
D) Productivity & Stock Estimation
Based on planting details (species, spacing, age, fertilization) and satellite data, the platform estimates:
Productivity (e.g., cubic meters per hectare).
Total standing stock of wood in each plot.
Productivity curves and growth studies (provided by you, e.g., EMBRAPA data) are used to calibrate estimates.
Adjustments can also be made using rainfall data and detected failures.
E) Climate & Water Information
Show recent rainfall and accumulated rainfall (last 7, 30, 90 days).
Display short-term weather forecasts for each farm area.
Indicate anomalies in rainfall compared to historical averages.
F) Alerts & Reports
Automatic alerts when:
Failures exceed a defined threshold.
Sudden drop in vegetation health is detected.
Rainfall is too low over a period.
Monthly reports with:
Current productivity estimate.
