Project description:
"I need a small but solid MVP that lets each homeowner log in with an email / password, see a pre-populated checklist of roughly fifty items (grouped under Heat Pump, Insulation, Windows, Doors, Solar PV), and attach evidence for every line. Allowed file types are PDF, JPEG / PNG and DOC / DOCX, and the uploads must flow straight to Amazon S3 via presigned URLs so we never handle the raw files on the server.
For persistence I’m flexible—Postgres or MySQL both work—so pick whichever fits your stack best. The app should store user, project and file metadata, along with an item status of Pending or Uploaded. An admin area is also required, limited to viewing each homeowner’s checklist, checking submissions and exporting everything to CSV. (Only two roles for now: homeowner and admin, but keep the codebase open to adding more later.)
Frontend can be React with TailwindCSS or something similarly lightweight; I’m after function over polish. Once the build is stable I’ll need it running on a staging environment of your choice plus a short deployment guide and the full source code in Git.
Deliverables:
• Deployed MVP with user & admin flows working
• All code in a clean repo, clearly documented
• Step-by-step deployment instructions (infrastructure, env vars, S3 setup)
• Sample CSV export demonstrating the data format
If this fits your skillset, tell me how you’d approach the checklist structure, authentication and S3 uploads, and roughly how long you’d need to turn the MVP around." (client-provided description)
