Project description:
"Blockchain-Based Botanical Traceability System for Ayurvedic Herbs (Proof-of-Concept)
Description:
We are looking for a skilled blockchain developer (or team) to build a proof-of-concept system that ensures end-to-end traceability of Ayurvedic herbs—from geo-tagged collection by farmers/wild collectors to the final Ayurvedic product packaging with QR code verification.
The Ayurvedic herbal supply chain currently faces issues of authenticity, quality, and provenance tracking. Our solution will leverage a permissioned blockchain (Hyperledger Fabric / Corda preferred) combined with geo-tagging and smart labeling to create a tamper-proof audit trail of herbs through their entire lifecycle.
Core Deliverables:
Permissioned Blockchain Network
Lightweight blockchain ledger (Hyperledger Fabric or Corda).
Smart contracts to enforce geo-fencing, seasonal restrictions, and quality validation (e.g., pesticide, DNA tests).
Geo-Tagged Data Capture
A simple mobile DApp (or SMS-over-blockchain gateway) to record “Collection Events” (GPS coordinates, timestamp, collector ID, species, initial quality metrics).
Ability to log Processing Steps and Quality Tests with metadata.
Smart Labeling & Consumer Portal
Blockchain-generated QR codes for product batches.
A lightweight web/mobile portal for consumers to scan QR codes and view provenance details (farm location, lab certificates, sustainability compliance, farmer profiles).
Integration & Reporting
REST APIs for supply-chain managers.
Web dashboard for monitoring provenance, compliance, and sustainability reports.
Demonstration
End-to-end demo using one botanical species (e.g., Ashwagandha).
Geo-tagging harvest → lab results → processing → QR scan by consumer.
Budget: ₹5,000 – ₹6,000 INR
Deliverable: A working proof-of-concept prototype with documentation." (client-provided description)
