"I rent out home water purifiers whose built-in motherboard already measures every liter dispensed and can lock the unit once a monthly quota or total-liter limit is reached. I now need a companion mobile app delivered for both iOS and Android.

The app must pull the usage data the board exposes (I’ll supply the simple HTTP/JSON spec), show customers how many liters remain, and compile an easy-to-read monthly usage report. When the quota is nearly exhausted—or the unit auto-stops—the user should receive a push notification so there are no surprises.

Core objectives
• Real-time display of remaining liters and plan status
• Automatic monthly usage report inside the app (exportable to PDF/email)
• Push notifications for 80 % usage, quota reached, and service reactivation
• Visible indicator when the purifier is locked or active

Firmware already handles the stop command, so you’ll focus on the mobile UI, API wiring, and notification flow. A single shared code base (React Native, Flutter, or similar) is preferred to ease future maintenance, but I’m open to your proven approach as long as both stores are covered.

Acceptance criteria
1. Seamless onboarding: user scans or enters purifier serial number to pair the device.
2. Usage figures in the app match the board’s counters to within one liter.
3. Notifications land within five seconds of the event firing on the backend.
4. Apps pass review and are published through my Apple and Google developer accounts.
