"I’m looking for a Windows application that can inspect a fabric sample and instantly display separate vertical (warp) and horizontal (weft) thread counts. Accuracy is critical—I work with cotton, silk and polyester and need reliable numbers on-screen the moment the camera or image is fed to the software.

The workflow I have in mind is straightforward: load or point a live camera at the fabric, let the program detect the weave, and see two clear counts update in real time. A zoom or calibration step to set scale against a known reference would be ideal so the results stay consistent across different microscopes or cameras. I’d also like a quick way to save or export the count with a snapshot for record-keeping.
