"My site is written entirely in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, with several 3D animations woven into the layout. At the moment, clicking any link forces a full reload: the header flashes, the whole page blinks for a split-second, and the animations momentarily reset. I need the navigation logic refactored so only the main content area swaps out while everything else—header, footer, active 3D canvas—stays alive and smooth.

Key preferences
• Stick with JS; no React, Angular or other heavy frameworks.
• The existing 3D animations must continue running without interruption.

What I expect as a finished solution
1. A lightweight client-side router or fetch/XHR routine that intercepts navigation, pulls the next HTML fragment and injects it into the content container.
2. No visible flash or white screen between pages; transitions may use subtle CSS effects if that helps hide loading.
3. Clean, well-commented code so I can extend the approach to new pages later.
4. Quick test plan or short screen capture proving that the header never reloads and animations persist across at least the latest Chrome, Firefox and Edge.
