"I need a seasoned Android developer to build an entertainment-focused mobile app whose core attraction is smooth, reliable video streaming. The app should open quickly, present a clean catalogue of videos, play content in full-screen or mini-player, and gracefully handle network changes or interruptions. I am aiming for a polished, production-ready experience that can scale from a handful of clips to hundreds without stutter or buffering complaints.

I am open to your recommended tech stack, yet I expect modern Android best practices: Android Studio, Kotlin or Java, ExoPlayer (or an equally robust player), adaptive bitrate streaming (HLS or DASH), and a responsive UI that honours Material Design. If you prefer Jetpack Compose or XML layouts, let me know why—clarity matters more than the specific choice. Cloud storage, CDN configuration, or a lightweight backend (Firebase, AWS, Python/Flask, etc.) may be suggested if it improves performance; feel free to pitch the architecture you believe fits best.

At launch I only require video streaming, but I would like the codebase structured so I can later drop in social sharing or in-app purchases without rewrites. Please factor that into your folder structure, state management, and dependency setup.
