Project description:
"I’m kicking off a social, Islamic-themed mobile game named “Darajat” and need the very first slice built on the MEAN stack. The goal is a clean Angular codebase that packages for both Android and iOS, plus one complete mini-game to prove the concept.
Scope
The foundation should cover routing, state management, and real-time communication so players can compete live, Kahoot-style. The app will support user authentication via Google and Apple OAuth for a seamless login/signup experience.
For this initial milestone, I only need the quiz-based mini-game, which will be named "Islamic Trivia." The host of a game will select "Decks" of questions (one question per card), with each deck focused on a different topic or difficulty. For example, there could be decks for Quran 1 (easy), Quran 2 (medium), and Quran 3 (hard), as well as decks for Hadith, Prophets, and more. The host will select up to three decks and a total number of questions, from which the game will randomly pick questions.
Players will join a lobby, questions will appear on a timer, scores will update instantly, and a leaderboard will crown the winner. I’ll supply all Islamic content in JSON or MongoDB collections; the build just has to load it cleanly.
The Decks will be monetized, with in-app purchases required to unlock all but the initial three free decks. This monetization logic needs to be included in the build, though the payment gateway integration is not required for this prototype.
Key Points
• Project Name: "Darajat"
• Authentication: Google and Apple OAuth login/signup.
• Architecture: MEAN stack (Angular front end, Node/Express API, MongoDB).
• Real-time: Real-time competition powered by [login to view URL] (or similar).
• Platform: Single codebase compiled for Android and iOS with a straightforward build script.
• Monetization: Implement logic for monetized "Decks" of questions (initially three free decks, with others requiring purchase).
• UI: Simple placeholder UI—nothing fancy, just responsive and readable.
• Code Quality: Clean, well-documented code so additional mini-games and features can be dropped in later.
Deliverables
1. A Git repository with the full source code, setup instructions, and mobile build steps.
2. Test builds for both platforms showing the working "Islamic Trivia" quiz room.
3. A short hand-over note explaining the project structure and where to plug future mini-games.
Once this base is stable, I’ll expand the project with more mini-games, but for now, a polished, scalable prototype of the first quiz is all that’s required." (client-provided description)
