"I’m extending my live event-planner app with two additions and a quick round of polish, then pushing everything to my VPS.

First, I want a full “Friends” module woven into the existing user system. Users should be able to send and accept requests, view their list, and unfriend with a single click—all reflected immediately in the UI and backed by clean database relations and tests.

Next comes a lightweight “Surprise” feature. The exact effect is open to creative ideas, but the goal is to inject a bit of delight—think a triggered animation, a random event suggestion, or a celebratory notification that feels native to the platform. We can firm up the concept together once you’ve seen the codebase.

While you’re inside, knock out the small annoyances still lurking in the planner (occasional layout quirks, a couple of edge-case glitches when saving events, anything else you spot during your pass). I’ll give you repo access so you can work on a feature branch, then handle the merge and deploy it to my Ubuntu VPS. Final step is confirming the app runs smoothly on the server, with all migrations applied and no new console errors.
