"When a visitor hits the Buy Now button on my WordPress/WooCommerce store the flow is far from ideal: they’re forced to the My Account page, asked to register or sign in, and then bounced to a custom landing page before ever seeing the checkout. I want that entire detour removed so the button sends shoppers straight to the checkout screen with the selected product already queued, whether they are logged in or not.

The current behaviour is driven by a small piece of custom code—not a plugin. I’m not completely sure which parts of that code are still important, so I need a developer who can audit what’s there, identify anything worth preserving, and then streamline or rebuild the logic so the only action after clicking Buy Now is Proceed directly to checkout.

Please confirm in your proposal that you can:
• trace and refactor the existing custom snippet without breaking other site functions
• ensure guest checkout still works while leaving account creation optional
• test across the latest WordPress & WooCommerce versions and a staging copy of the site before going live
• document the final code and its placement so I can maintain it in future
