We are looking for someone to help us improve the step tracking feature implemented in an existing React Native app.

Currently, there are some bugs and limitations, so we would like you to make improvements to ensure proper use.

Improvement of the existing pedometer function

Current Specifications:
- Press "START" to start measurement, press "FINISH" to end measurement
- Press "START" again to restart measurement, press "FINISH" to end it, and if the date is the same, the step count will be added to the previous step count.

Current Issues:
- Measurement only possible in background mode → Improved to allow measurement both when the screen is open and in background mode
- User reports of "step counts sometimes not being counted correctly" → Improved to ensure stable measurement
