Budget: Recommended by industry experts
Time to start: As soon as possible
Project description:
"I need an end-to-end grocery-delivery application, built natively for both Android (Kotlin/Java) and iOS (Swift/Objective-C). The experience should mirror Blinkit’s speedy, catalog-driven flow while remaining lean enough for a first public release.
Scope of work
• Secure user login and authentication must sit at the core, supporting social or email sign-ups as long as token-based sessions are enforced.
• A responsive product search and catalog is mandatory—real-time filtering, category browsing, images and inventory flags should feel instant.
• Orders move through a full checkout that accepts Credit/Debit Cards via a PCI-compliant gateway and a Cash-on-Delivery option.
• Once placed, users track their order status live all the way to doorstep delivery. Push notifications will relay each stage.
• Customers should be able to leave ratings and text reviews on delivered items; the API should expose this data for future analytics.
Tech considerations
The two apps may share a single REST/GraphQL backend, but the mobile code must remain 100 % native to guarantee performance and App Store compliance. A lightweight admin interface for product management and order reconciliation is welcome if you already have boilerplate, yet it is not a blocker.
Deliverables
– Android app bundle/APK ready for Play Console upload
– iOS build shipped through TestFlight with store-listing assets
– Full source code with clear module structure and README for local setup
– Postman (or similar) collection covering all endpoints
– One live demo session to walk me through build, deploy, and edge-case handling
Acceptance criteria for final hand-off
1. User can register, search products, place an order, pay (card/CoD), track its progress, and leave a rating without crashes on devices running Android 11+ and iOS 14+.
2. API requests complete within 1 s on a 4G connection.
3. Store submissions pass Google Play and App Store review in the first round (content issues aside).
Please factor in at least two feedback iterations after the first functional build so we nail the UX polish. I’m ready to start as soon as I see a brief roadmap and timeline from you." (client-provided description)
