The software automatically generates a Bill of Materials (BOM), which is a detailed list of all the pipes, fittings, and other components required for the fabrication drawing. This BOM includes information such as item numbers, descriptions, and quantities, providing a comprehensive list of what needs to be acquired.
Functionality includes editing job specifications, drawing piping runs with various fittings and materials (like socket weld and butt weld), and automatically calculating pipe cut lengths. The system also supports the addition of piping supports (dummy legs, stanchions), generation of bills of material, and management of drawing revisions.
The system is a legacy application built on VB6, where its specification drawing elements are not reproducible and must be extracted from the original sourc.
