Project description:
"I am setting up a training lab for medical-coding students and need a full sandbox environment that mirrors EPIC’s look and feel without touching any live systems. Core features must include robust patient data management alongside end-to-end medical billing and coding workflows so learners can practise everything from chart review to claim submission in a safe, resettable space. The interface should feel instantly familiar to anyone who has used EPIC, right down to the navigation patterns and screen layouts, yet remain entirely our own build.
The finished application has to run smoothly on both Windows and MacOS workstations in our classrooms. A lightweight local database with pre-loaded dummy patient records is acceptable; the priority is speed and data privacy. I am open on stack choices—whether you prefer .NET, Java, Python, or a web-based approach—so long as performance and maintainability are solid.
Because onsite hand-holding will help rollout, I have a strong preference for developers based in India who can collaborate during IST hours and, if needed, visit our campus for final deployment.
Deliverables
• Complete source code and compiled builds for Windows and MacOS
• Installer or containerised package plus clear deployment documentation
• A reset script that wipes and repopulates demo data between class cohorts
• Brief user guide highlighting key workflows (patient intake, coding, billing)
I’m ready to move quickly once I see a plan that shows you can replicate EPIC’s UX standards while keeping the system lightweight and academic-safe." (client-provided description)
