"I have an Arduino-based project running on ESP8266 boards with OLED displays (SSD1306 and SSH1106). The framework and firmware are already developed and editable through a web-server interface. The project fetches and displays live data from various APIs in ticker/scrolling text and chart modes.

I am looking for a programmer to:

1) Review the current working setup and provide feedback on its efficiency (code structure, API handling, performance).

2) Update the APIs and ensure the data is displayed properly on both OLED screen sizes.


Current Setup
• Boards: ESP8266
• Displays: SSD1306 and SSH1106 (OLED)
• Firmware: Arduino-based, editable via web-server
• Functions: framework for API calls, display logic, ticker/chart modes

APIs / Data Sources to Update
• Top billionaires list
• Selected military stock ticker
• Worldometer info (population, health, etc.) – optional, depending on sustainability/performance
• Cryptocurrency values (scrolling ticker or chart mode) – optional, depending on the viability of a free API (ideally would love for it to be via a free API; the current source has paid plan with limitations and also a free API source which is non functional probs because source changes)

What I Need
• Update the above APIs within the existing framework
• Ensure reliable data fetching and correct display on both OLED screen types
• Maintain smooth scrolling ticker and chart display modes
• Review overall efficiency and suggest improvements

Nice to Have (Optional)
• Guidance on how I can later update or change APIs myself
