"My custom Ionic web app has a single stubborn issue: the CRM form’s “Update” button refreshes the view yet never writes the edits to the database. All other buttons behave correctly and the browser console stays clean, so the fault appears to sit squarely in the update handler or its related service call.

You’ll receive the component TypeScript, HTML template, and API service file, plus a test account on our staging server. I need you to trace the problem, implement a clean fix, and briefly explain what was wrong so future merges don’t re-introduce it.

Acceptance criteria
• Clicking Update persists all edited fields and returns the user to the record list with a success toast/alert already built into the UI.
• No page refresh or silent failure occurs.
• Code passes ionic serve without new warnings and stays compatible with Ionic/Angular 16 (our current stack)." (client-provided description)
