"Produce, test, and deliver a compact, battery-powered setup that can feed a simple resistive load with a programmable staircase of DC voltages. The supply will be a single Li-Po or Li-Ion pack, yet the output must be anywhere from 0 V up to 18 V at currents up to 300 mA. You are free to base the design on an Arduino, a Raspberry Pi, or any other microcontroller you prefer, as long as the final system is accurate, precise, and reliable.
Core behaviour:
• Up to ten voltage steps, each specified by the user.
• Each step (duration) may last from .50 s to 60.0 s.
Time Start, End, Delivery, and duration accuracy must be .10 seconds, or better.
• A text or CSV file (e.g. “time,voltage” or “start time, duration (sec), voltage”) provides the schedule; the device reads this file at start-up from a micro-SD card, USB stick, SD card or another simple medium (e.g., From PC via USB) to be discussed and agreed to. No on-device buttons or apps are required.
What I expect from you:
• Firmware that parses the file and drives the output accordingly.
• A modest buck/boost stage — or another Vdc delivery technique of your choice — that converts the battery voltage to the requested level with enough accuracy and precision for the load.
• Pinout, schematic, and a concise bill of materials so I can replicate the hardware.
• A detailed build/run guide, and any PC-side scripts or examples needed to generate the schedule file.
• Evidence that the output hits each programmed voltage and timing window (a quick scope capture, data log, or similar is fine).
