"I want an Android application that guides users through pranayama while letting them create routines that truly fit their pace. The focus is on simplicity: a clean, minimalistic interface, no clutter, just the essentials a practitioner needs on-screen.

Core features to build
• A set of fully customizable breathing sessions. Users must be able to (1) adjust the duration of inhale, hold and exhale phases with simple sliders or input boxes, (2) pick from a handful of preset breathing patterns such as 4-4-4-4 or 4-7-8, and (3) choose an optional background sound—ocean waves, soft chimes, or silence.
• On-screen visual and/or haptic cues that sync with the chosen pattern so the phone can be followed without constant eye contact.
• A minimal home screen showing the next scheduled routine and a quick “Start” button; colours, icons and typography should stay calm and understated.
• Local storage of saved routines; no sign-up or cloud account needed for this first release.
• Deliverables: production-ready APK, all source code (Android Studio project), README with build steps, and a brief note on adding new patterns or sounds later.

Technically I’m fine with either Kotlin or Java; please stick to native Android components so nothing feels bolted on. If you have lightweight libraries that simplify timing or audio playback, great—just list them in the README.

Testing on at least one recent physical device plus an emulator is required. The app should launch quickly, run offline, and consume negligible battery when idle.
