"Instructions for Freelancer Project

Summary: You will build an interactive garden plan that fits on one screen (mobile/tablet friendly), with 24 zones that highlight and show their names on hover. Each zone will be clickable and open its own page with a title, short description, 2 photos, and a formatted plant table including what3words links. You will create only one of these linked pages and give me the url’s for the other x23.


Details:

I have a website and this page [login to view URL] has a graphic which enables the user to explore my house. I want you to add a graphic for my new garden which follows this design on the following page…[login to view URL]

So first you need to design the graphic and i suggest you start with the pictures i shall share. Study the aerial views and my handwritten description (see A) to be able to divide up the garden to scale. I don’t expect it to be exact but i do want your plan to reflect the relative sizes of the different areas. Use different pastel colours and include in the design the names of the 24 areas eg The Sun Circle, with them popping up when you hover over the area. This also means that when user hovers over an area it will be highlighted.

Please make sure the plan of the garden opens on one screen of a phone or tablet.

Each section when clicked on by the user will launch a new web page which has a title eg The Sun Circle, (see below for a list of all these), then a description and two photos showing the general area and then after shows a table giving the details of the plants. Please create one copy of this linked page with its the table. I have given the details of what to include in the table in B below

In the table you will see there is a column for ‘what3words’ which is a location for where the plant can be found. When the user clicks on the w3w reference i want that to open the location. For example, ///[login to view URL] is the reference to the garden entrance.

i will then create the other 23 pages and also complete each table when. All you need to do is create the Garden Plan and one linked version of the linked page properly formatted.

You will obviously need details for my website when you are ready to make the adjustments.

• Plant/Tree Name (common and scientific)
• Plant Type (perennial, annual, shrub, tree, grass, etc.)
• Mature Size (height x spread)
• Bloom Time/Season
• Flower Colour
• Wildlife Benefits (attracts bees, butterflies, birds, etc.)
• Maintenance
• what3words
• Photo Thumbnail
