I’m looking for a developer who can take the lead on building a companion application that runs natively on Android and interfaces smoothly with Android-powered television sets. The exact feature set is still open to refinement, but the core expectation is that the app will detect an Android TV on the same network, communicate with it reliably, and present a polished, easy-to-navigate interface on the mobile device.

I’d like you to guide me through the technical choices—whether that means relying on the official Android TV Input Framework, Leanback libraries, Google Cast, or a custom socket protocol—so the end result feels effortless for the user. Material Design compliance, responsive layouts, and clear code architecture (Kotlin preferred, Java acceptable) are all important.
