"We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer to create a lightweight AL extension that automates vendor email notifications tied to Purchase Orders. The scope is focused and well-defined, but we’d like to build an ongoing relationship for future extensions and customizations.

Responsibilities:

Develop an AL extension in Business Central to trigger automated vendor emails at three stages:

When a PO is Released

When a Warehouse Receipt is Created

When a Warehouse Receipt is Posted

Include both PO header and line details in the email body.

Configure recipients:

Default to the PO Contact

Add a new PO header field “Notification emails” (comma-separated)

Always CC two fixed addresses (we’ll provide these)

Use a defined “From/Reply-To” mailbox

Add support for an Estimated Arrival field (Expected Receipt or Promised Receipt, pending confirmation).

Provide technical documentation (design, setup steps, deployment instructions).

Test thoroughly in sandbox and support deployment to production.

Requirements:

Proven experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (AL development).

Strong knowledge of extensions, events, and email integration within BC.

Ability to provide clean, well-documented code.

Good communication skills for clarifications and updates.

Experience with PO and warehouse modules a plus.

Nice to Have:

Knowledge of Power Automate (though this task is AL-focused).

Familiarity with vendor-facing processes in distribution/wholesale environments.

Project Details:

Initial scope is limited to the PO email automation extension.

Sandbox environment access will be provided.

Opportunity for ongoing work on Business Central customizations and related integrations.
