Project description:
"My Micrologix 1400 program in RSLogix 500 is running correctly; the only piece missing is a clear, scroll-through menu on the controller’s built-in LCD so operators can tweak timer presets without a laptop. I want the display to show each timer name beside its current value and, on a second line or screen, simple instructions that guide the operator through changing that value. Navigation must rely exclusively on the four function keys (F1–F4) since that’s how the panel is used in the field.
Here’s what I need from you:
• Ladder or ASCII display logic that builds a tidy, hierarchical menu of my existing timers.
• Key-press routines tied to F1–F4 for moving through items, entering edit mode, incrementing/decrementing, and saving back to the preset.
• Clean, commented code so I can add or remove timers later, plus a brief PDF or Word note explaining how the display strings map to my data files.
I can send the current .RSS file as soon as we start. If you have proven experience squeezing useful operator interfaces out of the Micrologix LCD, I’d love your help finishing this last mile quickly and cleanly." (client-provided description)
