About Us & Project Scope:
We’re a premium, adventure‑inspired cat accessories brand based in the EU. Our current Shopify store sells harnesses, backpacks and starter kits, but the site has outgrown its theme and suffers from navigation issues, outdated collections and inconsistent branding. We want a talented developer/designer to audit, fix and redesign the site so it reflects our brand’s personality (stylish, adventurous, sustainable) and converts like our top competitors.

Your Mission:
• Audit & Fix Existing Issues: Identify and remove old categories and age‑verification pop‑ups; repair broken links; remove irrelevant “Popular Searches” terms and subscription text.
• Redesign for Conversion: Create a mobile‑first, modern, clean design that aligns with our brand (earthy neutrals with adventure accents); implement intuitive navigation and visual hierarchy; re‑order product lists so in‑stock items come first; add sticky add‑to‑cart and clear size guides.
• Develop Functional Improvements: Build new templates for collections, products and blog; set up bundles (starter kits); integrate user‑generated photos and reviews.
• Enhance SEO & Structure: Clean up the sitemap; add proper meta titles/descriptions; implement structured data (Product/Breadcrumb/FAQ); set up redirects for removed pages.
• Deliver Full UX & QA: Ensure the site is responsive across devices; optimise load times; provide clear instructions on how to manage content.
• Success Criteria: We consider the project successful when the site is visually on‑brand, easy to navigate, loads quickly, and we see improved conversion rates and search rankings. Equally important, success means finding a freelancer who communicates well, meets deadlines and can provide ongoing support.
