"I need my large-scale Windows application, which currently relies on a legacy Pervasive database, re-engineered into a modern web solution running on a LAMP stack with MySQL. The existing data models and business logic have to be preserved, so the first milestone will be a clean, loss-free database conversion from Pervasive schemas to MySQL. Once the data layer is in place, the full application must be rewritten for the browser—secure, responsive and ready to sit behind Apache or Nginx on a standard webserver.

During the rebuild I also want to introduce an API layer that connects to a payment provider compliant with Spanish regulations; this will be the initial “new feature” we fold into the system. Clear REST endpoints, proper authentication and thorough error handling around that payment workflow are essential.

Because this is a complex codebase, steady one-to-one communication is critical. I work in the CET timezone and expect to discuss progress during normal business hours, even if you adjust your schedule slightly. Strong written and spoken English is a must, and I’m looking for an independent developer—no teams or sub-contracting—to keep coordination smooth.

Deliverables I will use for acceptance:
• Complete MySQL schema mirroring all current Pervasive tables with migrated data verified.
• Fully functional web application replicating today’s features.
• Integrated third-party payment API, tested end-to-end under Spanish legal requirements.
• Setup and deployment guide plus concise code documentation.
