Project description:
"I need an Android application that automatically registers itself as the default handler for Microsoft Project (.mpp) files and seamlessly launches them in the Project Plan 365 viewer the moment a user taps an MPP attachment or file link.

• All file operations must respect Android storage-access guidelines (Scoped Storage for Android 11+, SAF for legacy versions).

Build in Kotlin or Java with Android Studio, target API 34, and ensure the manifest correctly declares the intent-filter so “Open with…” is no longer needed—the app should appear automatically for .mpp MIME types.

Deliverables
1. Signed APK and full Gradle project.
2. Clear README describing setup, key classes, and how to extend the permission hooks later.
3. Short demo video or screenshots showing an MPP file opened from email and from local storage.

Acceptance will be based on installing the APK on a stock Android device, tapping an MPP file, and seeing it open instantly in Project Plan 365 while the file-manager view reflects any permission changes I make inside the app." (client-provided description)
