Project description:
"The assignment is to create a full-featured project management application written in C#. All data must be persisted in an existing SharePoint list, so every CRUD operation—tasks, comments, user assignments, status updates—will read from and write to that list rather than a separate SQL store.
Core scope
• Task management with the usual add/edit/delete flow, support for subtasks and attachments.
• Team collaboration features such as threaded comments and @mentions that also live inside the SharePoint item so nothing is stored locally.
• Progress tracking with visual indicators (percentage complete, health, dates) automatically rolled up from individual tasks to project level.
Views
Users should be able to switch instantly between a Kanban board, a Gantt chart and a classic list view; the underlying data source stays the same, only the presentation layer changes. Drag-and-drop between Kanban columns and resizable bars on the Gantt are required interactions.
Security
Built-in authentication and role management are mandatory. The application must respect at least three roles—Admin, Project Manager, Contributor—and hide or disable UI elements accordingly. Windows or Azure AD auth is acceptable as long as it integrates cleanly with the SharePoint list permissions.
Deliverables
– Complete C# solution (WinForms, WPF or ASP.NET—whichever fits best) with well-structured code and comments.
– SharePoint list schema and any required REST/CSOM calls.
– Deployment guide that covers configuration, permission setup and how to point the app at a different tenant.
– Short user manual explaining each view and role.
Acceptance criteria will be a compiled build connected to my tenant, successful creation of sample tasks, flawless switching among the three views, and role-based UI behavior demonstrated in a screen-share session." (client-provided description)
