"Project Proposal: UX/UI & Web Development for WooCommerce Website Enhancement
Experience: 10+ years in UX/UI, product scraping, and WordPress/WooCommerce Web Development


This project is structured into two main phases, each with distinct deliverables.

Phase 1: Content & Product Management

This phase involves a detailed content update to ensure product data is accurate, well-structured, and easily discoverable.

1.1 Product Data Migration (Web Scraping)

The goal is to add approximately 180 new products by scraping content (descriptions, images) from specified branded sites.

Task A: Add 4 new brands (approx. 70 variants in total) by scraping their product data.

Task B: Update an existing brand's section using web scraping.

Task C: Incorporate the UI of the scraped brands into the site, ensuring their look and feel is integrated seamlessly.

1.2 WordPress Content Updates & Site Enhancements

Task D: Product Re-classification & Tagging: Update and re-classify 150-250 product tags to improve search functionality and filter accuracy. This includes using common sense to re-classify uncategorized products into existing subcategories.

Task E: Site Banners: Replace two existing site banners with two new ones and fix an existing banner.

Task F: New Banner & Landing Page: Custom insert a new banner and a landing page on the main site, including a form submission section.

Task G: Bulk Buys Section: Update the "Bulk Buys" section with 5 new special-offer bundle products.

Search Function Improvement: Improve the website's search function by integrating an "All site search" feature to help users better find products.

Phase 2: UX/UI & E-commerce Optimization

This phase focuses on improving the checkout experience to be faster and more user-friendly.

Checkout Speed & Refinement: Ensure the checkout process is fast-loading.

Checkout Field UI/UX: Refine the checkout field options to make them stand out.

Last-Minute Clearance Offer: Incorporate a UX/UI feature for a last-second product clearance offer during the checkout process.

Additional Tasks

Product & Shipping Configuration

Update product variants with accurate weight (in grams) for 20 variants. An Excel sheet with the necessary data will be supplied.

Configure shipping rules to limit specific brands from being shipped to certain locations, as per business requirements.




The ideal candidate will possess a strong combination of technical and design expertise, with a proven track record in the following areas:

Web Development & DevOps: Front-end development, WordPress, WooCommerce, and server-side performance optimization.
Server-Side Audit: Perform a server-side audit to speed up the site. Admin access to the hosting platform can be provided.
E-commerce Integration: Extensive experience with Stripe integration and APIs.
UI/UX Design: Strong portfolio demonstrating world-class design skills and a user-centric approach.
