"I have a Basler camera and a Qt-based application that still needs the glue in between. What I want is very focused: set up Pylon inside my Qt project, establish a reliable connection to the camera, and make sure I can capture single images on demand. The captured frames must save correctly as JPEG and PNG, with an optional edge-detection step that I can toggle from the UI or via a simple function call.

Here is how I see the engagement:

• Configure Pylon in a CMake/Qt6 environment (I’m on Windows for development, but the code should stay portable).
• Expose a small Qt class (or set of classes) that discovers the Basler device, opens the stream, grabs a frame, and returns a QImage.
• Add save-to-disk helpers for JPEG and PNG using Qt’s own writer so no extra dependencies appear.
• Implement a basic edge-detection routine (Sobel or Canny—open to your suggestion) that runs on the grabbed frame before saving, using either OpenCV or a lightweight shader if that fits better.
• Provide a short README or inline comments so I can rebuild and extend the code later.
