Project description:
"I need a rock-solid way to plug WhatsApp straight into my Linux on-prem server so that I can both send and receive messages programmatically. The goal is to expose a clean REST-style endpoint (or similar) that my existing applications can call to push outbound messages, while simultaneously listening for incoming chats and piping them back to us in real time.
Alongside basic transport, I want three value-adds baked in from day one:
• Automated replies that fire on simple, configurable rules (think “after-hours” or keyword triggers).
• A lightweight chatbot layer so we can hand over common Q&A without human intervention.
• Reliable message logging—every inbound and outbound payload stored to disk or a database with timestamps, sender/recipient IDs, and delivery status.
Deliverables
1. Working WhatsApp Business API (or equivalent) service running on our Linux host.
2. Endpoints or CLI utilities for sending and receiving messages.
3. Rule-based autoresponder module.
4. Chatbot integration (can be rule/ML-based; open to your preferred framework).
5. Persistent logging with basic query/report capability.
6. Setup scripts, config files, and concise documentation for deployment, scaling, and daily operations.
Acceptance
• A demo exchange showing outbound, inbound, automated reply, chatbot response, and log entry creation.
• Source code passes a quick review, installs cleanly on fresh Linux, and is handed over under our preferred license.
If you’re comfortable navigating WhatsApp Business API quirks on a Linux box and can package everything into a maintainable service, let’s talk." (client-provided description)
