"Automate the development of concrete forms using parametric generation and Tekla OpenAPI in 2 steps:
* First, start with a small scale deliverable. Apply parametric generation to the side steel walls of the concrete form.
* Second, apply parametric generation to the entire flagship model.
We have an existing proof of concept that uses Tekla OpenAPI to display a concrete rectangle with 4 steel side walls using 4 parametric fields. X,Y,Z and Stiffener spacing. This was successful with overlapping issues. We also have a script that extracts these fields into a CSV file from our flagship Tekla Concrete Form Model:
PartType,GUID,Class,Profile,Material,StartX,StartY,StartZ,EndX,EndY,EndZ,PositionDepth,PositionPlane,PositionRotation
And we have a script that attempts to regenerate the same non-parametric Flagship Concrete Form Model using the CSV file. It is about 70% accurate with details missing.
We need a Tekla Open API expert with steel and concrete experience to create a GUI that has the parametric fields required to generate new concrete form models and the logic to actually make it. These fields include but are not limited to Form Length, Form Width, Form Height, Joint Type, Joint Spacing, Joint reinforcement details, Form support spacing, etc...
Included is a screen shot of the Flagship Concrete Form Model. The 4 green steel walls is the target for the first deliverable. The entire model is the target for the second deliverable. We require detailed documentation, logic and configuration so we may make additional changes as needed." (client-provided description)
