"Job Description – Full Stack Developer (Remote, Full-time)
We are seeking a talented and experienced Full Stack Developer to join our Hanami team. This is a full-time, fully remote position aligned with East Africa Time (EAT). You will be responsible for building and maintaining our React-based website, Flutter mobile app, and backend integrations including Elasticsearch and data scrapers.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain the Hanami web platform using React.js.
• Develop and maintain the Hanami mobile app using Flutter (iOS & Android).
• Integrate Elasticsearch for fast and scalable search and filtering.
• Build and maintain data scrapers to fetch car data from third-party websites.
• Collaborate directly with the CTO on architecture, workflows, and technical strategy.
• Ensure app performance optimization, security, and reliability.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and external partner endpoints.
• Write clean, maintainable code with testing, reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in debugging, monitoring, and documentation of systems.
Requirements
• 3+ years professional experience in full stack development.
• Strong expertise in React.js and Flutter.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON integrations, and backend services.
• Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch (indexing, queries, optimization).
• Proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript, Dart, HTML5, CSS3.
• Experience with Node.js/Express, PHP (Lumen/Laravel), or Java Spring Boot.
• Database knowledge (MySQL/PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with Git/GitLab workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker.
• Experience building and maintaining web scrapers (Python, Node.js, or similar).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work aligned to EAT timezone.
Nice to Have
• Experience with payment gateway integrations.
• Familiarity with microservices and containerized deployments.
• Knowledge of real-time communication (MQTT, WebSockets).
• Background in e-commerce or automotive projects.
